The Secret Behind One of Philippine Bodybuilding's Most Consistent Events

There is an old saying that goes, "If it isn't broken, don't fix it."

In an era where many promoters feel pressured to constantly reinvent the wheel, the organizers behind the All Men's Physique Competition have taken a different approach. Year after year, they continue to build on a formula that already works, making thoughtful improvements without losing the identity that has made their event one of the country's most recognizable bodybuilding competitions.

Held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Palacio de Maynila, this year's competition once again demonstrated why consistency can be one of a promoter's greatest strengths.

For years now, Palacio de Maynila has been synonymous with JFit bodybuilding events.  While some may wonder why they don't move to a bigger or newer venue, there's something comforting and respectable about returning to a place that athletes, coaches, and fans have come to associate with quality competitions. The venue has become one of Philippine bodybuilding's most familiar stages, proving that tradition still has its place when it's paired with continual improvement.

Rather than changing everything each year, the organizers have consistently focused on refining the experience.

This year's production reflected exactly that philosophy.

One of the first things attendees noticed was the improved organization of the seating. General Admission and VIP sections were clearly separated, giving the venue a more polished, upscale atmosphere while improving traffic flow throughout the day. It felt more structured from the moment spectators walked in, and the distinction between seating areas helped create a more premium experience for VIP ticket holders.

Another major improvement was what most people never actually saw.

This year featured a significantly larger backstage holding area for the competitors, complementing the spacious side room already available. Athletes had plenty of room to relax, prepare, receive last minute instructions, and get their final pump before being called to the stage. It may seem like a small logistical change, but it had a surprisingly big impact on the overall production.

One thing we've always appreciated at bodybuilding shows is preserving the element of surprise. At many competitions, athletes can often be found wandering through the audience, sitting among spectators, or walking around the venue while waiting for their class. While understandable when backstage space is limited, it removes some of the anticipation that comes with seeing months of hard work finally revealed under the stage lights.

This year was different.

With competitors remaining backstage until moments before they competed, audiences experienced that exciting first reveal exactly as it should be. Each athlete emerged fully prepared, pumped up, and ready to perform. It made every class introduction feel more dramatic, more professional, and gave each physique the spotlight it deserved.

The stage production also featured one of the event's smartest visual upgrades.

Instead of relying on a single LED backdrop, three massive LED screens were cleverly positioned to function as one seamless display while simultaneously creating hidden entrance and exit points between the panels. Competitors appeared through the center as if emerging directly from the screen itself before disappearing just as smoothly after their routines. It was a simple but highly effective design that elevated the presentation while keeping the stage looking clean and modern.

Even the soundtrack between classes felt different. The music selection created a fresh atmosphere without distracting from the competition itself, adding energy during breaks while maintaining the professional tone of the event.

An eye catching display reflected just how far Supplement Hub has grown as a brand. Throughout the show, the LED screens featured striking visuals of a Lamborghini, Porsche, and Mercedes Benz alongside promotions for Supplement Hub's product line, creating a display that was impossible to miss and adding another premium touch to the day's atmosphere. The imagery reinforced the company's evolution from a respected supplement retailer into one of Philippine bodybuilding's most recognizable brands and served as a confident showcase of how far the company has come.

Interestingly, the vendor presence was smaller this year.

Previous editions of the event featured a larger collection of supplement and fitness related booths. This year there were just two exhibitors inside the venue and a single healthy meal vendor located in the foyer.

At first glance, that might seem like a step backwards. In reality, it may be the exact opposite. Perhaps it's a testament to how much stronger the core brands behind the event have become.

This year's title sponsorship centered around Basic Wins, JFit, and Supplement Hub, with Basic Wins stepping into a much larger sponsorship role than in previous years. Rather than relying on numerous outside companies to fill the venue, the show confidently showcased the brands that have grown alongside it.

It's difficult to walk into a gym anywhere in the Philippines today without seeing someone wearing a JFit shirt. What started as an apparel company has become woven into the culture of the local fitness community, recognized by athletes from beginners to seasoned competitors.

Supplement Hub has followed a similar path. It has built a reputation as one of the country's most trusted destinations for premium sports nutrition, carrying internationally respected brands such as Evogen, a brand we have only been able to find through Supplement Hub. That reputation has earned the trust of athletes who want proven products from brands they know.

That confidence in their own brands was evident throughout the event.

The competition was expertly hosted by Ojee, whose professionalism and energy kept the day moving smoothly from class to class. Judging responsibilities were handled by an experienced panel consisting of Kerwin Go, Nikko de los Reyes, Jazz Tomenio, Earl Navarro, and Jesse Virata, ensuring competitors were evaluated by some of the most respected names in Philippine bodybuilding.

As always, however, the true stars of the day were the athletes.

Months of disciplined nutrition, countless training sessions, early morning cardio, sacrifices with family and friends, and an unwavering commitment to self improvement all culminated in those brief moments under the lights. Every competitor who stepped onto that stage represented a personal journey that extended far beyond the placings announced at the end of each class.

The All Men's Physique Competition continues to prove that success isn't about constantly reinventing yourself. It's about understanding what works, respecting the athletes who support your event, and finding ways to improve without abandoning the identity that made people fall in love with it in the first place.

Every year the organizers make thoughtful refinements. Every year the production becomes a little smoother. Every year the athlete experience improves.

That is exactly why this event continues to grow.

Because at its core, the organizers have never lost sight of a simple philosophy.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it. Continue refining it. Continue raising the standard. Continue giving athletes and fans a reason to come back year after year. And judging by another successful edition of the All Men's Physique Competition, that formula is working just fine.

And without much ado, here is the Winner's List...
