IFBB Philippines Keeps the Season Moving in Legazpi

The 2026 contest season kept rolling this past weekend as IFBB Philippines hosted the Bocalandia Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship at the Legazpi City Convention Center, presented by 3A & R Travel And Tours Services. And one thing IFBB continues to do well is keep athletes active by giving them a full season of opportunities to compete.
That matters.
In a sport where prep can take months, athletes need more than one or two major dates to work toward. They need a season. They need options. They need stages where they can test themselves, improve, qualify, or make a comeback. That’s where federations that consistently put on shows help move the sport forward.
The Bocalandia event was another example of that. Regional shows like this give newer competitors a way into the sport, while giving experienced athletes more chances to refine, collect feedback, and build momentum toward larger titles. Not every athlete is aiming to peak for one national-level event. Sometimes the path is built through several stages.
And IFBB Philippines has clearly leaned into that.
Still ahead on the IFBB Philippines 2026 calendar:
• IFBB Philippines Boracay Bodybuilding & Fitness Championship 2026Saturday, May 23, 2026
• IFBB Philippines Mr. Sangyaw 2026Saturday, June 13, 2026
• IFBB Philippines Nationals 2026Sunday, July 12, 2026
• IFBB Philippines Mindanao 2026Saturday, August 15, 2026
• IFBB Philippines All Natural & Fit Model Championship 2026Saturday, September 26, 2026
• IFBB Philippines Isabela 2026Sunday, October 10, 2026
That is a serious run of shows.
For competitors, that means more opportunities to gain stage experience, qualify, rebound from a missed peak, or build an actual competitive season instead of hinging everything on one event. For the sport, it means momentum. It also creates something bigger than individual contests. It creates continuity. It keeps athletes engaged, gives promoters momentum, and gives fans a season to follow.
We’ve said it before, consistency in promoting shows is part of building a stronger bodybuilding culture, and a federation willing to keep putting stages in front of athletes plays a major role in that.
Congrats to IFBB Philippines on another successful event in Legazpi, and to all the athletes who stepped on stage.
With this schedule ahead, the season is far from over. It is just heating up.
And without much ado, here is the Winner's List...
