From Posing to Presence:The Warrior’s Code Delivered Pro-Level Insights

ree

Stepping on stage as a bodybuilder isn’t just about muscle—it’s about presence, precision, and preparation. On Saturday, March 22, at Century Mall, Makati, Warrior’s Code delivered exactly that. Hosted by Red Panda Productions alongside NPC Worldwide Philippines and IFBB Pro League Philippines, this highly anticipated stage-ready seminar wasn’t just another event—it was an inside look at what it really takes to compete at the Warriors Classic on July 6, 2025.

The seminar covered crucial topics, including posing techniques, competition suits, judging criteria, and show-day tanning preparation. Attendees gained firsthand insights into what the judges are looking for, ensuring they left with a deeper understanding of how to bring their best package to the stage. Even the newly introduced Women’s Fit division was thoroughly discussed, offering guidance on its expectations and posing standards.

Live posing demonstrations by IFBB Pro bodybuilders gave attendees a clear visual of proper technique. These on-stage examples allowed competitors to see firsthand what correct execution looks like, from transitions to mandatory poses. To reinforce these lessons, the crowd was then divided into categories for hands-on posing practice. A particularly memorable moment happened during the Men’s Physique posing demonstration when the so-called “Shy Guy” overcame his hesitation—by taking off his pants. The rest of the group followed suit. So much for being shy!

Guiding the event was IFBB Pro Head Judge Serg Saric, who provided valuable insights. One of the key takeaways was that the line on stage marks the best-lit area—an overlooked but critical detail for competitors. During individual posing, athletes must ensure they showcase both their front and back within the 20-30 second time limit. He also reassured competitors that slipping on stage doesn’t result in point deductions—what matters most is staying confident and composed. His recommendation? Practice posing at least three times a week, drilling all mandatory poses and quarter turns.

When it came to what judges prioritize, IFBB Judge Wilfredo Larita emphasized the importance of an “overall package,” with muscle proportions playing a key role. IFBB Judge Manwad (Gain) Chokesuwttanaskul from Thailand highlighted confidence as the deciding factor, urging competitors to command the stage after months of hard work.

The event also promoted upcoming competitions, including the AGP Philippines Regional and Pro Qualifier on September 7, 2025, Muscle Contest on October 4, 2025, and the Thai Pro Qualifier on November 29, 2025.

With an attendance of 271, including visiting competitors from outside of the Philippines, like China and Thailand, the Warrior’s Code seminar proved its international reach. What truly set it apart was the level of expertise behind it. Unlike other seminars where self-proclaimed coaches and gym owners take the stage, this event featured the official IFBB Pro Head Judge, an IFBB judge from Thailand, a local IFBB judge, and over a dozen IFBB Pro bodybuilders, including the much-loved Filipino Olympian, Joven Sagabain, and newest Filipino Olympian, Karym Saripada. In contrast, many past seminars organized by various local gyms, independent athletes, and smaller federations have felt like the blind leading the blind—where competitors with only one or two shows under their belt step up to give self-proclaimed “expert advice.” Warrior’s Code was a much-needed shift from that trend, offering true guidance from those who have actually walked the walk.

Red Panda Productions once again raised the bar. Their meticulous planning and commitment to delivering top-tier bodybuilding experiences continue to elevate and support the sport. Having already seen what they accomplished with AGP Philippines’ Regional and Pro Qualifier events, expectations for Warrior’s Code were sky-high—and they delivered.

This isn’t a sponsored review, nor am I affiliated with Red Panda Productions, but credit must be given where it’s due. Their professionalism and dedication to excellence are undeniable. Warrior’s Code wasn’t just another seminar; it was a wake-up call. For those serious about stepping on stage, this event was a game-changer.

We love the Philippines and there's a lot of amazingly talented athletes here.  It would be awesome to give them more opportunities to shine so that they can take it to the next level and make an even bigger impact, on an international level.
